Hi everyone

My sister and I are taking my daughters to Disney Feb 2015 and the day we arrive it will be Valentines Day!

Anything special at the parks?
Any ideas of something cute/special we could do?

Obviously nothing romantic. I'm a widow so nothing that falls into this area.

I want to do something sweet and special seeing it's a holiday. I can't find much online about fun stuff MK or the other parks do for this day other than all the couples stuff.

Thanks!

Why not get dressed up and go out for a "fancy" dinner? My daughter and I had a great "date" at Kouzzina on the Boardwalk; many of the Downtown Disney restaurants have expansive kids' menus (Paradiso 37) and some grown-up ambiance.

If it's in the budget, and you didn't plan to use your arrival day as a park day, the Cinderella dinner at 1900 Park Fare (Grand Floridian Hotel) features Cinderella, Prince Charming, the stepmother, and the stepsisters, who are an absolute riot. When we checked in at our hotel, I snuck an envelope into our welcome packet that was addressed to my daughters - it was an "invitation from Cinderella and Prince Charming" to join them for dinner that evening.

We were also there over Valentine's day two years ago, and before we left, I bought 5 boxes of "joke" valentines and printed labels that said "Happy Valentine's Day from Connecticut visitors." The girls labeled each card while we were on the plane, and we stuck them in a baggie. On the 14th, they handed them out to cast members, bus drivers, ticket takers, concierge, even people in line. It earned them lots of smiles and some extra goodies, but they felt really good about helping to spread the Disney magic!

We always tend to think spaghetti for valentine for some reason. Maybe do Tony's in the MK and then a special dessert afterwards.

Perfectly princess tea party at the Grand Floridian it look fun but it's pretty pricey. The also have afternoon tea and there is a Ms.Potts option for children.
