Valentines Day idea....

Ok, I know we JUST got done with Christmas and New Years, but we've only got 43 more days to shop for Valentines Day. Now, normally we don't do much special for each other other then a card for one another and we go out to dinner. I'm wanting to do something a little extra for him this year.

I'm the first to say that I'm HORRIBLE at figuring out that "perfect" gift for whatever the occasion. My partner on the otherhand, has that amazing ability to find that special gift that will bring tears to your eyes. Good tears, not bad ones.

For my birthday he got me a custom made piece of hand blown glass from one of my favorite glass artist and even had it specially signed to me from the artist. He did it in 4 of my favorite colors! I didn't even know he was paying attention to things I said like that.

Anyhoo, Steven (my partner) LOVES Eeyore. It's kind of a running joke. I've the got the personality of Tigger. Kind of hyper and silly. He's more like Eeyore. More ways then one.

I'm only wanting to get him something small. I found an Eeyore plush that's wearing a pink diaper with a red sash that reads, Happy Valentines Day. I also found a 2003 Eeyore LE pin that says Be Mine that I want to pin to the plush.

Is that corny as hell or do you think it's probably the sappiest and most adorable thing you've EVER heard of in your entire life?

Thanks! I second guess EVERYHING I buy. I stress that it's not enough, or he's not going to like it or thinks it's silly or he'll divorce me or give me that "what were you thinking" look.

I worry to much about this type of thing. I popped more xanax during my times Christmas shopping then any other time....

The solution is to slip HIM the xanax right before giving him his present! Then you're sure to not get the "what were you thinking" look.

You might get a dazed "What am I thinking?" look from him, but that can be turned to your advantage.

I like the idea about the crystal Eeyore and Tigger. He already has a tattoo of Tigger with his arm around Eeyore, looking into the sunset. Talk about a conversation starter when we're at DLR.

I think that is pretty sweet. I wouldn't consider it something for the house though. It is not about the house. It is about you and the things that you do away from the house.

You probably like Valentine's Day too; don't you? I would think that you do because you are thinking about your life with the other person enough to reflect that in your choice of gift. Those buying what they think they should buy because it's traditional are much more inclined to treat those "gifts" as some kind of extortion.

You will, you will!!! My Boi is amazing. She makes everday special...my life with her has been the happiest and fullest. It will be 3 years this June and we will celebrate that and our BD's while we're in Disney this Aug!! Much to celebrate!!
