i like celebrating anniversaries more than v-day, because it's more personal and doesn't have the whole 'forced' kinda vibe that v-day does (to me at least!) happy anniversary to you & your gf!

I won't even be in the country on valentines day so I really don't know what to say I'm kind of excited then again I'm dressing the day and I hope it goes by quickly... I'm going to the womens alpine skiing final on valentines day at the olympics so that's going to be an amazing thing to see the fact I get to so many people dreams come true is going to be a lovely sight... But then again it's going to be a bad day as it will be a long day and my mom wants to get there right as the gates open and I think she's crazy I don't feel like sitting and waiting for 3 hours in the snow I HATE snow I'm Hoping me my brother and my dad will win and instead go shopping in whistler until about an hour before the event begins as I love whistler it's such a pretty village!!! That will be a lovely place to spend valentines day hit crowded lol

i love valentines day. its not just a hallmark holiday, contrary to popular belief. it actually has a rich history behind it. and the idea of "why should we have a special day to celebrate how much we love each other?" well that really goes for all holidays doesn't it? why should we celebrate christmas and easter, or mothers and fathers day, or anything else like that? they're all special days for things we should be experiencing every day.

in my opinion, the world is a dark, scary, painful place where often times people hurt the ones they're supposed to love. any day to celebrate loving someone is okay with me.

Scratch my last post.
My guy friend asked me to be his valentine tonight and gave me roses.
I'm still a bit weary on celebrating the holiday, but I thought what he did was so cute.

I've never celebrated it really. I haven't even got candy from it since...4th grade when we made valentines day boxes. haha.

But when it's on a weekday our office at school is filled with flowers and balloons that people have sent in for the students.

Well. My boyfriend and I have it kinda... difficult.
There's difficult cirucumstances surrounding our relationship. But, that's for another time.
Anyway, our anniversary was the 10th, so I made a little thing called the 5 days of extreme love.
I've given him little things every day from our anniversary and will until Valentines day.
Like one day, I gave him a crossword about us. cause he likes crosswords and word games.
Just silly stuff.

So, I was excited for V-day because my ex is really into it and he apparently was planning something for the day. But we are no longer "together" so I will be spending valentines day getting manicures and pedicures with my two best friends

Valentines day has never been a big deal to me until this year, now it just sorta sucks because I was pretty excited to spend it with that special guy. But it's alright because I'm still getting candy from mom, and that's all that really matters. haha

It's created by the greeting card companies to get money. BUT it's cute to watch all the couples that are actually in love celebrating it

My plans? I don't really have any. I'm going to visit my best guy friend in the hospital (he has leukemia) so I've got that plan. But otherwise nothing special.

My dad always gets me flowers too. One year when he was in Luxembourg for work he mailed them and made sure they got here on Valentine's Day.

i hate valentines day. in my state everyone does. its a stupid holiday to scam people into spending allll this money on cheap chocolates and stuffed animals so drug stores dont go broke.
