Has anyone stopped at valdosta georgia for the night..what hotels are good. Don't need anything fancy just something clean

Yes it's right there but we will probably have already drove 8 hrs or so want to stop have dinner and maybe a swim.

I have not been to Valdosta, but have spent some time in the Atlanta area. My recommendation would be to stick close to I75. There is probably not much to see off of there, and will allow you to maximize your time resting for the remainder of the drive.

I've stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Valdosta many years ago. It wasn't spectacular but it was okay. It is a super convenient location just off the I-75.
