Has anyone ever used these for packing? I know I would not be able to use the ones made for the vacuum cleaner (to express the air) but rather the ones you roll up to let out the air. I am a notorious over-packer and thought these might help make some space ;) Thanks!

I always use space bags when I travel and they work really great! Just be careful not to overpack so much that you'll end up paying for heavy luggage.

I like to use them just to keep stuff organized in my luggage! They are great for your worn stuff or if you have any damp swim suits, ect. on the way home, too. I agree with the above poster about being aware of your weight limit for your airline! :scratchin

Thanks--I'll give them a whirl. Oh yes, I am well aware of the luggage restrictions--came really close to having the extra 50 or so dollars charged for the over the limit fee, only once though ;)

I have used the travel space bags for the last 3 trips and the first trip I laid out all my usual clothes I take for a 10 night stay, I have a list and clothes only for Disney vacations, and after loading the space bags and putting them in my usual rolling duffle bag, found out I had tons of space left over in the bag. Thinking I forgot to pack all my clothes, I pulled it all out and went over my list. Yep, it was all there, just with all the air out, it just looked like less. Had wife check it out and had to go out and get her some too. Draw back, seeing extra room is your suitcase makes you want to pack more stuff not really needed that you take with you and never wear or use, and this can make that bag real real heavy.

Coming home, I place my dirty clothes in the Disney laundry bags, lay the space bags flat on the bottom of the bag and just cram the laundry bags in the bag on top. Packing dirty clothes in a space bag neatly doesn't save room and, besides, I'm going home, I'm depressed and all my stuff stinks. Give them a try but don't buy cheap, discounted ones, tops don't stay sealed and when the air get back in the bag expands.

I just love those space travel bags also. When I went to Ireland I could pack my winter coat (we went in March) and I had so much room to spare for the new stuff I bought. I won't travel without them anymore!

The Vacuum bags seem a great idea. But how do you seal them on the way home? I can't imagine that vacuum cleaners are easily avaiable at WDW?

People laugh at me but I use the really big, 4 ft X 2ft, ziplock bags. Much cheaper and just as easy to use. I bought a box of four bags for $5. at the grocery store.
Either way have a great time!

They have travel ones that you just roll out the air. They work GREAT! :Pinkbounc

Since I unpack at WDW and put everything in drawers, I had all of our clothes sorted by person (how they are in the drawers). This was so nice, then we use the empty suitcases to sort clothes for my mid trip laundry morning.

I agree that you do not want to go cheap on these. We had a mixture of both and could tell the difference.
