Hi, can anyone help out with info on Vacation Villas at Parkway. I have just booked it as a 3-day getaway with my sister and I'm having second thoughts after reading some reviews.
I know internet costs are high is one big con. :headache:Most of the reviews mention hard-sell tactics being used and some questions about the quality of the units.:scared1:
We have requested a one bedroom with full kitchen (I know I'm on vacation but I like to cook in).
I have read there are 18? buildings - seven stories high. Is the noise from I-4 unbearable??

Any info re preferred buildings for a quiet adult getaway would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

We stayed there about 4 years ago so obviously things can change since I've been there....but for what it's worth I think for 3 days you will be okay.

These are lock out units with A being the bigger one bedroom with full kitchen. So make sure you get an A unit. The room itself is nice and for a one bedroom we found it to be spacious. My two kids shared the sofa bed but they were little at the time, like 2 and 3.

What I didn't care for was the lack of parking for some bldgs. So if you came back late at night (with 2 sleeping kids) it was hard to park. I did complain and they changed our bldg. and gave us a ground floor room. I liked our 2nd room much better.

The year we went they were doing construction on new bldgs. not sure how many there actually are now.

We did not use any of the amenities as we had friends down that year and we were rarely in our room, mostly to sleep.

The location wasn't too bad in terms of getting to the parks.

I know I refused to go to the timeshare presentation and they didn't bother us.

Like I said initially, 3 nights should be fine. I'm not sure I'd stay there for a week again but that's just me.

The internet is something like $50 for the week. If your overall cost is low, this isn't that big of a deal.

I did not find them to be particularly hard-sell. A quick and simple "no thanks" at the parking pass desk was all that was required.

If you are not with your spouse, they will not pressure you for a timeshare sale (unless you are single). And if you don't want to be bothered (single or married) just tell them your spouse is not with you, you are with your sister.

My family has stayed here and its the only offsite place we'll stay at when we go. You cannot get any closer to WDW staying offsite! We loved it.
