Looking at one of these places to stay this November. Both seem to be fairly close to Disney, but wanted to see if anyone here is familiar with either, or both! Tell me pros and cons!!!

Thanks!!

the villas in both are nice.

that say unless you are getting a 2-bedroom would go with Vacation VIlla at Parkway - just because the sales people don't try to bother you.

there 2-bedroom is a little strange - instead of one door (most 2-bedroom) - you have 3 doors - one main door in the hall - then you have 2 doors - both sides 1-bedrooms (although one is definitely smaller).

the firedoor is the main door - so make sure it is closed.

westgate changes often - sometimes the sales people won't leave you alone - had one even come and knock on my villa door. they don't understand that no is no is no. You have to repeat several times.

then other times westgate can be wonderfully - no sales pitches - no you HAVE TO BUY NOW - and no one even thinks of bothering you. It is really very strange.

Have not stayed at Westgate but stayed at Vacation Village at Parkway in 2010. I thought the units at VVP were large, well decorated, very clean, very nice. They were very similar in size and decor to the units at Wyndham Bonnet Creek. At VVP there is one pool with hot tub for every 3 buildings. The buildings kind of surround each pool. Our pool looked nice but we had 2 waterpark days so never used the condo pool. DH did take the kids to the VVP gameroom and they liked it. Parking was a breeze and we were there in July. Our unit was on the first floor on an end. There was a card key door at the end of the hall that we used to go in & out to the parking lot. We were always able to park right near that door no matter how late, probably because most people parked at the main building entrance. The best thing about VVP was how close it was to World Drive. We were through the Disney gates in just minutes and there was never any traffic going to or from.

They have two different 1 bedroom types - side A and side B. Side As are larger (1000 sq ft), have washer/dryer, full kitchen, king in MB room, jacuzzi. Bs are smaller (500 sq ft), partial kitchen, queen in MB room, some have washer/dryer, some don't. Both types sleep 4 people each. A two bedroom is an A & B combined. They each have their own unit doors that open to a joint foyer with a locked hallway door.

I would stay at VVP again. Hope this helps.

Not the Westgate villas! We booked a night before moving on to CSR, and they were so gross that I walked out and just counted the money as lost. There was drug paraphernalia on the back porch and paper towels covering all the air vents.

The desk staff was so incredibly rude and pushy.
