Just booked our first vacation at Bonnet Creek this year as well. Would love tips for transportation. There are 6 of us; we have a car, but I am not looking forward to parking at the TTC.

You have to pay to take their shuttle. i am not sure how much but it will be more than it will cost you to pay to park with 6 people.

Vacation Strategy is great. I'm renting from them for the third time this Fall. No hidden fees, pressure or anything negative. We always drive and have had no trouble with parking, although my least favorite is TTC due to the uncertainty of morning monorail availability. But you should be fine!

Only "fees" you would have beyond VS is the standard resort CC hold (I think it is $100) that is freed up if you don't use it, minor costs for some of the daily activities (like tye dye t-shirts), and the bus if you choose to use them. That is about all.

You know, I wasn't looking forward to the TTC either when we were about to stay at WBC for the first time. But I've come to really love the approach to the MK on the boat. The sweeping view of the MK getting closer and closer is just really special. First thing in the morning with my coffee in my hand (brewed at our unit at WBC, we always buy a pack of disposable coffee cups during our grocery stop)...it is now a favorite way to start the day!

We had been debating whether to make one last trip from Michigan with our Annual Passes before they expired but airfare in early April is insane. We decided that if we could get a good price on an offsite condo we'd make the drive. Ended up requesting a rental through Vacation Strategies and they got us almost exactly what we wanted for very low price. I spoke with two different representatives from VS and had a positive experience with both. I am generally skeptical of these sorts of deals but so far so good.

Nothing to be really skeptical about. Most likely they are using points from a PlatVIP owner, getting the room you want with 50% of the points, and one free upgrade.

Would be interesting to know what you got and paid for it. A 2BR Dlx inside 60-days after the first week of April would be about $400 through a PlatVIP member. It is only 56,000 points for a 2BR Dlx then. That is just straight cost though. Since they get "next available" upgrade free, you could get a 3BR Dlx, 2-4BR Pres for that price if inventory was available. If you only wanted/needed the 2BR Dlx and a 1BR Dlx was available, they would book the 1BR Dlx with the free upgrade to the 2BR Dlx. Those points would only cost ~$300.

Ha. Didn't say being skeptical was rational. I just generally prefer to rent straight from the hotel, resort, etc as opposed to a third-party. In any case, my initial request for a 7 night stay was not possible. They were able to accommodate me for 6 nights in a 2brm deluxe for around $900 due to a cancellation. Not as good as your numbers but pretty darn cheap for what seems a like sought-after location (and time of year).

Rented last May through Redweek.com. We are heading down again in May and I can't get anything through them. I will definitely check this website out. Thanks.

It was May I just booked-I got it for just over $700 all in for a week. I could get a two bedroom deluxe but no three bedrooms were available.

Thanks. We are looking for a 2 bedroom first week of May. At the moment they only have 1 bedroom.

Just some quick information about Bonnet Creek. The security hold is currently $150 at check in on a debit or credit card and the shuttle is $8 per person per round trip to Disney (drop off and pick up is at the TTC) and $13 per person per round trip to Universal. There is not a shuttle from the airport to the resort and if you book through Vacation Strategy (or an owner) parking at the resort is free and there are no amenity fees.

Hope that helps!

For those of you whom have used Vacation Strategy booking for the Holidays, do you mind sharing what your prices have been? I got an email saying they are sold out but can book us through their affiliate at a rate of $2500 for 7 nights!!! Is this the usual or should I keep looking for another seller? We have not stayed at WBC before but have been looking to try it! Any info you can send me would be great, thanks!

$2,500 does seem a little high. What is the dates and room size that they are quoting?

Usually around the holidays, (Christmas to New Year) will be $250 - $300 for a 2 bedroom, depending whether it falls on the weekend.

Very rarely will you get the discounted rates like BigredNole is referencing around the holidays. It is the most requested time of the year along with Easter.

I agree that $2500 seems high, depending on the size of room - are we talking 2 bedroom deluxe? Vacation Upgrades shows the season dates and their pricing on their web site, so you can see the date breakdowns for the price structure. That said, I like to compare to what a comparable Disney accommodation would cost for the same time frame and not really focus on what the folks in the room next to me paid or what the folks in the same room the week before paid. So, to me if we're talking 2 bedroom deluxe, the comp that I would compare to would be a 2 bedroom at Saratoga or OKW, which runs about $1000 a night the week of Christmas (a 1 bedroom is about $700 a night)...so $2500 for a week sounds like a bargain, even adding in a generous $500 for transportation/parking that would be included with Disney.

We are planning on staying offsite for the first time in late July at WBC. Should we secure reservation now (have quote from Vacation Strategy) or wait to within 60 days for a possible better rate?

I would get a quote from V/S and secure a reservation asap.

There is a possibility they are sold out.

Vacation Strategy has a price match feature that compares established companies

not random ebay listings.

V/S has a pretty fair cancellation policy ~ most other companies do not.

V/S is my go-to timeshare broker ~ but I have used ~ V/U ~ Farrells ~ ebay
