vacation spot in the carolina's in april?

Thanks all!

So it looks like:
Mrytle Beach, SC 7 hours 20 minutes
Charleston, SC 8 hours 20 minutes
Hilton Head, SC 9 hours
Edisto Island, SC 9 hours

Any other suggestions? Perhaps non-beach suggestions since the water will be WAY to cold. Of course we love to just look at the ocean, play in the sand, and then swim in a heated pool :) It can be tricky to find a place w a heated pool though.

We go several times a year to MB it is very commercial but alot to do. One of the trips we take is always in March for a huge car show my husband loves. My DS is now 11 and we look for a hotel with indoor pool. We are trying a new place called the Dunes Village Resort with several indoor pool and slides for different ages.

If you like wrightsville, have you tried oak island or caswell beach? Much less crowded, even in July when we last went. It was also fun to watch all the freight ships as they went out to sea. Oh and southport's great too.

My parents rented a huge house on caswell beach for a huge family trip which included 8 adults and 4 kids ranging from 4 to 6 months.

Relaxing, and we all did side trips out to myrtle beach, or Wilmington, etc.

Don't forget NC's beautiful mountains. It will be cooler in the mountains but you can find a hotel with a heated pool pretty easily. Look at Asheville or the Boone, NC area. Both are beautiful. Lots of outdoor activities. Have fun whatever you decide!

We love Dunes Village. My kids love the pool areas and the slides. We've always been very happy with our stays there.
