Hi everyone,
I'm at home with a broken ankle - day #21 - with another 3 1/2 weeks at least to go until I can go back to work. Also, because of my injury, any possible vacation to escape the snow has been cancelled. It is a snow day today, so DD is home with me. Because we are bummed out and summer is still way too far away for our tastes, we have decided to research our next vacation.
Looking at going to Orlando either October/November 2013 or January 2014 (there is a family wedding over Christmas holidays so December is out of the question).
We are looking at a villa or condo this time, instead of doing the hotel room thing. We are looking at a 3 bedroom, dog friendly (Dachshund - no more than 20 lbs), with a heated pool on site (doesn't need to be a private one). Other than that, we are pretty flexible. We will be driving down or will rent a car so distance from the parks is not a big issue for us - we plan on doing a couple days at Disney - I can't be in Orlando and NOT visit MK - and a day at IOA. It will be for hubby, his parents, our 8 year old daughter, inlaw's dog and me. We are looking at 7 days but possibly 10 or 14.
I'm going to do some research online but do any of you have any recommendations? Any place to definitely stay away from? TIA for your help.
