Vacation Planning Dept Came Through Again!

I just got a call this morning from Vacation Planning and we got our first choice for the Fantasmic Balcony Dessert Buffet!

Thanks to whoever posted the info on this, it worked like a charm. They were so friendly and very helpful. I asked this morning for PS for Blue Bayou on the same day and the person I spoke with said they'd put in a request for a water view table! While not guaranteed, I didn't even know they'd allow you to make seating requests!

Thanks for posting, seems that everyone is getting the seating they want with this method! I have decided against getting the Fantasmic dessert (already going over budget) but am wondering if I should have Vacation Planning make my other PS's rather than doing it myself. I wonder if it makes any difference in getting the best times/locations. Also, would someone please post again the phone # for Vacation Planning, it seems that I have not made a note of it in my pages and pages of tips I am saving to my Word document!

I've never used this service before, but I'm definitely hooked now. So far the only thing we needed were the buffet and Blue Bayou PS's, but if we need anything else, we're doing it this way.

It's simple and stress free and so far they seem to be very good at what they do!


Edited to add...You do have to be staying at at Disney Hotel and they do check your reservations when you call.

When are you going? We are going in August and I e-mailed our request about a month ago. Did they notify you before the 30 days before or on the 30th day?

I e-mailed my requests for Fantasmic! and Goofy's Kitchen and lots of others to vacation planning service (you have to stay at a Disney hotel to get these services) and Robert Conway@disney.com has been wonderful - changed times when park opening times changed - kept me up to date on reservations and even helped me put together welcome baskets for my granddaughter and daughter (can't say too much since they read also) - He's made my life a whole lot easier and very MAGICal

How far in advance can you book if you do it through them? We want to do the fantasmic package but arent going until July. We are staying at the DLH so can we book earlier?

they helped me as well.......just got a call today from Brad at Vacation Planning....they got me June 30th Fant. Buffet seats.........can't wait!!!

I don't know if there are any restrictions as to how early you can call them, but I don't think there is. We called almost 2 months in advance for the buffet. They don't make the reservation until the 30 day mark no matter how early you call, at least for the buffet.

It's one of the things that make this such a nice perk...you don't have to think about dates and time windows. Just call when you know what you want, they'll book the reservation when it's time, then give you a call and confirm that they were able to get the reservation.

If you're going in July, I'd call them now. Your seating is based on when your ticket is purchased, so the earlier you get on the list the better off you are.

Just call or e-mail them with the dates and time you are requesting reservations (such as early morning breakfast at Goofy's or 9:00 Fantasmic!) and they will take care of the rest - they watch the calendar and make reservations for you ASAP - They make it a vacation not a chore
So sit right down and figure out what you want to do when and then give them a call or e-mail them

I already put in my request - I was wondering when they got back to you that you had your seats. Did you hear from them on the 30th day, before or after? I think I'll be sitting on pins and needles waiting to hear.

They call on the day they book which is the 30th day out for the buffet. I was told to give them until noon and if I hadn't heard from them, to give them a call at the same number. They called me well before noon.
