Hi!

After 2 or so months from our departure, I finally downloaded and backed up approximately 30 gigs worth of photos (Between 2 cameras, in law pictures, and the previously downloaded photo pass.) The whole experience was a trip down another great vacation. I was just amazed on how many we took and where. The largest chuck in one shot was the safari in AK. There was over 700 shots as the camera was set to burst mode for obvious reasons. We had a number from the Fort, the pool, and various other locations. I got some really awesome pictures of the flag retreat at MK. However, I just don't know if I am ready to go back.

And yet I opened this thread and was disappointed, No pictures. Why would you tease us like that, you know we love the photo's.

Not ready to go back?? I want to go back when we pull from our site - other words I leave crying & kicking my feet. Grumpy Aggie just keeps on rolling down the road.

Last years trip resulted in over 3,000 pictures shot in RAW that took up a space of 75 gigs on my computer. This year will be shooting more at night with the new camera and will be carrying my older camera as backup so expect to shoot more pictures this year than i did last year. Have been working on processing in Lightroom so hopefully can get some on the website during our TR. And I was ready to go back as soon as we left. If I could I would be there taking pictures everyday.

Sorry for the teaser... I just built a new computer. Getting the pictures off the camera onto the near full hard drives was a priority of mine as I really had not a whole lot of time off since I came back to work. Let me take a look around and see what I can offer the group as a peace offering. I will most likely have to process the photo to make fit.

Here are a couple of teasers to keep tiggerdad in his place! LOL

Behind the seeds tour at The Land in Epcot. Here pumpkins are being grown from the sky down and even formed into mickey heads. The guide was a grad student from South Dakota who was a 6th generation farmer. We had an interesting discussion about what he does at Epcot vs the traditional methods his forefather used. More on that later.

It'll do...

Hello and Happy New Year!

This fellow was just standing around for me to take his picture. Nice Giraffe!

Now I know the photography types are going to say. " Wow awesome pictures. How did you do this?" Wait for it. Wait for it. OK Here it is.

Nikon D5300 with a Nikon DX 55-300 VR AF lens. Since this attraction is "fast" and pretty bumpy, I shot pretty much everything in Auto and Large Continuous mode. IIRC, I shot around 700 images during this ride. I only went through about 150 or so shots at this point for this post. This was the way to go. I am really happy with pretty much I have shot on this camera in both the 18-55 kit and 55-300 Telephoto lens. Disney was a great place to just take pictures while waiting for your group to meet back up or just wander around.

I hope you all enjoy.
