Vacation pictures - Banff, Canada

Robinette -

We stayed at The Rundlestone Lodge on Banff Ave. I think it was $175 a night Canadian (right now it's about 1.31 canadian to 1.00 US) but that was for a balcony room with a fireplace and whirlpool tub. The balcony is worth it! Try and get a balcony room if you can. We were happy with our resort. Looking at the exterior only of the other hotels (we did walk in some, just didn't go in the rooms obviously) the Ptarmigan hotel looks nice. We actually have friends staying at the Ptarmigan right now, if you PM in a week I can let you know what they thought.

We stayed at Morraine Lake Lodge a few nights. That was pretty expensive. It's a different sort of stay. No tvs, 1 community phone, much more nature oriented. A good break honestly. We did think the Post Hotel looked great and the Mountain Lodge (I think that's what it was called) had a lot of restaurants and offered massages. Both of those are in Lake Louise.

If you were thinking of anything specific, let me know. I can try and remember the location of the hotel and what I thought of the exterior, lobby or restaurants. Oh, the Rundlestone is a bit farther down Banff Ave, away from the stores. About a 4 or 5 block walk, the Ptarmigan is only a 1 or 2 block walk.

As said in my email, Tamie, beautiful pictures. I like the one of you and Joe by the stream there, you two just look like you are having so much fun. Thanks for sharing, Happy Anniversary.

Wow, those are gorgeous, Tamie! Our company's sales incentive trip was in Banff a couple of years ago -- many people weren't happy with the choice since its so cold there (and this was in February!) but once they came back they raved about the sheer beauty of the place. As evidenced by your pics. Wow! Thanks for sharing. :)

Unbelievable, isn't it? Grandeur and overwhelming don't even come close to describing that area.

The next time you go to Banff, go about 100 miles north to Jasper. That's all I'm going to say. ;)

Awesime pics Tamie!! I'm glad you had fun!!

WOW...beautiful photos, Tamie! Thank you for sharing those with us. I'll have to show my husband when I get home tonight, I know he would really like them.

Thanks again!! :D
