So finally back home after a week at disney. My feet are pretty swollen from the amount of speed walking.
I cannot stress enough how much utilizing the fastpasses made the day at the parks optimal. However I was sweating buckets and huffing and puffing by 10am from all the running around lol. It was over 15 years since the last trip but I don't think I want to wait that long for the next one.

The highlight of the trip was definitely the last day at Hollywood studios being able to ride Toy Story Midway Mania 10 times. I don't think i've ever had so much fun re-doing a ride over and over again.

But with all that said and done, now what? I'm kinda sad that I won't be checking into the forums as much as I did prior to the trip. But I'm greatly appreciative of all the help everyone has provided me during the planning stages. It's now back to the real world and probably months of watching Disney movies to relive this past week!

You have now entered the "Plan the next trip" zone. It will start innocently enough. You'll just price out the possibilities even though you know you won't be going for "another few years":rolleyes1. But then it will become more serious and you'll start thinking of what weeks might work.. and how it might as well be sooner rather than later.
Before you know it you'll have another trip planned. Don't fight it.. it's futile:rotfl:

And be sure to check in on the forums now and then to see if your experiences can help someone who's just beginning to plan or has never been to the parks before!
Also if you have any idea when you might go next, it's worth making notes on what you'd do again, what you'd skip, what you wish you had taken with you, etc. For YOUR information.

This is me, too. We went over Easter for what I swore was a "one time trip." Hubby wanted to go back before we even left. So I check the boards and ponder the next trip, lol.

You could not have described it any better! I got back from disney on April 6th. Yep, I have started looking at dates pricing hahahaha. I know we won't be able to go back for at least two years due to hubby's vacation, but you never know! Next time, we will def try to go in June and not Easter!

Put together a photo / video / scrapbook of memories.
Help others on the board with questions, as a recently back DISer.
Make a list of next time, you will _________.
Start planning the next trip, just without the dates yet.

Plan your next trip! I've started planning our next trip, despite it being a little under 2 years away still.

You've been infected with Pixie Dust and will have to plan your next trip to obtain the antidote. ;)

Seriously, our "once-in-a-lifetime" was in 2006. Trip #9 for me is coming up in October for the Tower of Terror 10-Miler race weekend! :rolleyes1

We leave the 28th of April for a week and have already booked an October trip.

With DVC we are becoming so spoiled.

Our eight year old has already been to Disney World five times.

I agree that once you have the bug, you might have a little post vacation blues but never long as it seems that even when we aren't "supposed" to go this year (big trip planning for 2014) we end up going.

DD and I might have even infected DH because while it is not his favorite place, he asked if there was a special for our family mini-vac. Imagine my surprise when room rates were on "sale" around July 4th :cool1: Second trip in 4 months :cloud9:

Until you can go, browse the forums, read the blogs and remember the great times.

You now possess something very valuable - fresh knowledge so put it to good use. Put your swollen feet in an epsom salt soak and help out some newbs with questions. Hop on the Restaurants and Resorts boards and answer questions and pass it on. You could also write a trip report.

Btw, we got home 3/12 and I've priced a couple trips "just for fun." Does anyone want to hazard a guess as to what dates Neil Patrick Harris will narrate the Candlelight Processional?? Heck I've also looked at retirement condos in Lakeland, FL for a few years down the line. Doesn't retiring a place where the kids will want to visit seem logical? No state income tax either. LOL

It's an addiction, I tell you! But a fun one! What's horrible about loving a place built by the love of two brothers to provide a magical place for families and friends to spend time together and where the staff is exceptionally nice and the experience is first rate?

I totally sympethize with you, after each trip I suffer from a Disney withdrawl !!!
But the best thihg about comming back to the real world, is that you can plan your next trip to THE WORLD.
I hope you are aware that you probably were infected by the magic bug... The only cure is the planning procedure of the next trip, there is no way out of it :woohoo:

Put your camera chip, with the pictures of your trip, in a digital frame, and place it somewhere very busy in your house, every day you will be reminded of The day you got infected!!!

Coming back to this board can only help you so go for it :thumbsup2

No mather how long it takes me to go back, I am patient and can plan for a very long time.

You go on with life and TCB until you decide to go again. ;)

Or you can do what I did..... I put a bunch of little Mickey head stickers all over my face and walked in the room where my husband was. I laid down on the couch and told my husband I was burning up. He was concerned and asked what was wrong....he came over and saw all the little Mickey stickers on my face and I told him with a straight face that I had Disney fever. I told him I called our doctor and he said I needed to book a reservation for WDW and get there in the next 6 - 8 months to cure the Disney fever. :rotfl:

I too just went for Easter and I would most likely not go that time of year again. It was insanely crowded at MK when we went and therefore didn't get to do everything we wanted.

Like Original Poster said, you come back and you're sad, "Now what?", I get that same feeling. So we are booking another trip for this Sept or Oct!!
