Good ol' Gramps is taking us all down to the world around Christmas time and wants to get a vacation home near the Orlando area, but not to to far from WDW. Could you please post what vacation homes you have/do stay at? He's trying to find something somewhat affordable (not over $150/nt for 2-3 bdrms maybe 4 if possible).

Thanks for everyone's input!!!

We have not stayed here yet, our ressies are for after Thanksgiving, but we are looking forward to trying it out. Look at www.greatervillas.co.uk Its a 4BR/3BA and can accomadate up to 10 guests. :flower:

We stay at a great vacation home in Windsor Palms. The owners have been great to us. They own 6 homes now-3 in Windsor Palms and 3 in nearby Windor Hills. They are so clean and well stocked. I spoke to her today about renting for next year and because they are now begininng to rent on their own vs. a rental company she gave me an awesome deal!

We stayed in Windsor Palms in Feb 2004. The 4br pool house was beautiful. It was a short drive to WDW. We paid $140 CAD/nt. It is a great place for a large family or like us with DM and Din-laws.

Well you can't have this one because we rented it for Christmas week, but I do like www.vacationhomesorlando.com This will be our second stay, and pool heat is included. Mention my name " D Gaston" and maybe I'll get a discount next time. :rotfl2:

we haven't stayed yet, but they have been so easy to deal with, always prompt about answering questions.. We have a 5br, 3ba pool home that will total 960.00 (b/c my parents got the AARP rate - 5% off the total), it was like 950.00 + tax then - the discount for a Sun-Sun.. and from what I have investigated on my own and from some nice people on this board, I believe I'm about 15 minutes from AK.

There 3-4 br homes run like 700 for the week.

Good luck!

Winniedapooh, do you have an email address for the person who owns in Windsor Hills. Send me a PM if needed. I am looking to rent there, and it looks awesome from the pictures on their website.

You can submit a general inquiry for homes there and the owners will email you back if their home is available during your dates. They will give you a link to their home, pictures and prices.

We always rent a home in Emerald Island Resort. So far we have rented 3 different 5 bdrm homes and have always been pleased. :cool1:

Well, since the end of May, we stay in our own Home.....

We stay in our home in Emerald Island. There are wonderful homes in EI. Good luck with the hunt.

We used [floridasunshine as well. We were very happy with them. We got a house called Arabesque. 3 bedrooms and it had its own pool and jacuzzi. We paid like $149.00 a night but then paid an additional amount (like $200) for the 2 weeks for the pool heater. It was April and the water was a little chilly. Would definately use them again if needed.

I've only used one, but it was an all together good experience. We went through villas2000.com since they list "special offers" with different companies. The special we got was through loyaltyUSA. We had a 4 BR/2 BA for 5 adults and 3 kids (special for $660 for a week in May 2004). :cool1:
