Good Afternoon Folks!!

I have a delimma and need some opinions on it. Next year is mine and DH's 5 year wedding anniversary, and we want to do something special, however, we had also talked about going to disney the first week of decemeber because I have always wanted to see disney at christmas time. We cannot do both bc of budget means, but which would you chose. A disney cruise in June, or disney world in december?

Thank you for your help!

Hard question!
I would be tempted to choose whichever one is sooner:rotfl:
If you've been to Disney before, the cruise might be a little more special for an anniversary. However, I have sworn the next trip to Disney we plan will be to see the Christmas decorations too!

How about a few nights in Disney followed by a short cruise in December. It's the best of both worlds and you would get to see both the parks and the ship decorated for the holidays.

Plus, the cruise would be off season and you could get a good rate.

We are planning Disney for our 25th anniversary and it's on 18th December, so I'd go with WDW!!! (We're planning a few nights at GF before moving to POP which is our usual home!!)

I love cruising (we're going on one in March), but there's nothing quite like the holidays at Disney. It's the best time of year in my opinion. :)

If you changed that Disney cruise to a Carnival cruise, I bet you could do both!!!

That is what I was going to say. You are close to baltimore so you can take Carnival out of baltimore. You would save because you would not have to add in air and then you could go to Disney via Value resort for Dec. You would have best of both worlds.

No way would I do a cruise out of FL in June! Do you know how HOT that is going to be??

With that being said, I would rather do Disney during the holidays. You could always do something big on your 10th aniversary.

A June cruise doesn't sound very appealing to me. I'd say a Carnival, RC cruise in December followed by a few days at the parks. Dirt cheap in December on the cruise and you will probably get a good deal on a room discount or free dining on the parks portion if you go earlier in December.

When is your actual anniversary? Does it matter to you if you celebrate your anniversary on the actual date?

Dh and I celebrated our 25th at WDW the first week of Dec. and it was amazing. Our first real vacation without the kids! So I would say, try to do both!!! Go to Disney for a few days and then cruise out of PC or Tampa for a few days. Nothing beats WDW at Christmas.

HAHA on the which one is closer, I am the same way, however I really want to see Disney at christmas.

I wish we had the funds for the unfortunalty it must be one or the other.

If we do a cruise it would be in the spring.

We have only cruise carnival up until this point, and let me tell you, they have gotten much more expensive!

We are now talking about doing something special at disney that we wouldn't normally to celebrate.

:lovestruc I feel the same way, although I've never been to disney at christmas, I'm sure there is nothing that compares!

How well we know how hot it is. We left for our honeymoon and it was record breaking temps. It was so hot I ended up with sun poisoning.

We are planning for the 2nd wk in decemeber. Is it super crowded then?

Unfortunatly we cannot do both, trust me, if we could, that is what we would be doing without a doubt!!

Thanks everyone for the help! I think we've decided on going to disney in december. We want to go to alaska for my 30th birthday which although is 4 years away, we want to go all out bc it will also be my dads 75 bday and dream trip. So we are starting to save for that as well as do trips between now and then, and disney is much cheaper than a cruise. So the verdict is, DISNEY AT CHRISTMAS or 2nd week of decemeber to be more exact. Thanks everyone for the help!
