Vacation clothing

DH and I and our kids are going to Cancun for a long weekend in a few weeks for our anniversary. Where do you shop for vacation/cruise wear? Here in the Northeast we don't have the selection of beachwear in the stores yet since it's only March.

Any good suggestions for online shopping?

Have you looked? We have shorts and swimsuits in all the stores here now. Kohl's has a pretty good selection already. Old Navy had quite a few swimsuits last weekend when we went shopping for DD15 for our trip in a couple weeks.

Recently, I have found clothing at Target, Kohl's, Ross, TJMaxx, and Old Navy.

An on-line store I have recently discovered is Body Central. They tend to steer toward younger looking clothing, but had several items that I would have purchased IF I needed more. Which I don't.

Are you sure your stores have nothing? I live in Minnesota and ALL our stores have had for at least a month is summer stuff. Tons of bathing suits, shorts, skirts, sundresses, rash guards, etc. You can't find a mitten, boot or wool cap to save your life these days.

If your stores REALLY have nothing then go online. EVERY online retailer has spring/summer stuff right now. So, whatever stores you usually shop...Lands End, JCrew, Nordstrom, Gap, Boden, etc.

Have a great trip. We are going to Mexico in three weeks and I cannot wait!

I was shopping yesterday and saw that Kohls and JC Penney (the only department stores I wandered into) had all their spring/summer stuff out. We're in Maryland.

Or you can go online. Lands End has their spring/summer stuff out. So does Old Navy.

You should be able to find stuff now in most malls. I was at Macys last week and they had bathing suits and cruise wear out already.

A tad bit pricey but I loved the look of some of the stuff in the Athleta catalog. It's kind of vacationy, athetic, and cute at the same time.

I'm in the Suburbs of PA and every store I've visited has had all their summer stuff out already. Everything from swim wear and cover ups to shorts and tanks, etc.

Target had a huge selection as did Justice. When in doubt you can always hit a Pac Sun at the mall too.

I will also second Althea, I just got their latest catalog and they have adorable travel clothes, a bit pricey but good quality.

Thanks everyone! I was just shopping about a week ago in Kohl's and I was looking for boy's flip flops and bathing suits and couldn't find any. Maybe it's been stocked up just this week. I looked at the Athleta website and I like one of the bathing suits.

I am also looking for Linen Blend pants for DH.

You are not kidding- right after Christmas all the bathing suits and summer stuff came out in stores ( I am in the northeast!). My daughter had a party to go to in Feb at a indoor pool and I had no problem going out and finding a bathing suit for her.
