Vacation Central Florida condo-Robinson (LIVE)

I'm renting unit 204 from vacationcentralflorida.com this week. The condo is beautifully decorated and extremely clean.

The owner and the property manager both called the unit on Saturday to make sure check in was fine. The property manager stopped by yesterday to place flashlights in the units in case we lose power with TS Faye.

It is very close to disney property and is about 15 minutes from Universal/Islands of Adventure.

The condo is prettier in person than in website/video. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, plates, blender, toaster, mixer, etc. All TV's are flat screen and the Ihomes (for your Ipods) are in every bedroom and the living room.

Internet access was quick and easy as well.

Windsor Hills has been great. It is a very pretty property. I've had no problems at the pool/clubhouse. It is about a 5 minute walk from the condo to the clubhouse pool. There is no problem finding a parking space for the car as well.

Have they been easy to deal with? The owner themselves called you? I just became a member of their Windsor Hills Club where you get a better rate at Windsor Hills for joining. They sent me a coupon for a Condo week for $199 for being a member! Sounded too good to be true, so I am glad you have verified it all. Is the place decorated in Disney like they say? How so?

Fantastic to deal with. The owner, owner's wife and the manager all called us on Saturday.

The manager Donna dropped off flashlights and my husband met her. I was at the pool and hubby said she was really nice.

As for the storm, it's just been gray and light raining all day. We went to Universal Studios earlier today but got home around 2. The Windsor Hills pool is closed today as well as the the clubhouse amenities. There was a notice on the clubhouse gate yesterday to alert residents. The pool closed at 8 pm yesterday instead of 10 pm.

We did move the porch furniture from the patio into one of the closets. (in the twin bedroom) It fit fine-- with no problems.

What about the Disney Decor? Is it sufficient? We want to feel like we are on the Disney property (without paying those prices)... my kids want that more than my husband and I, but we all come to Orlando for a Mickey feel you know! They say they have Disney decor, is it true? How much?

I'm not a fan of the bright garish pink and turquoise painted rooms so this is very sufficient. There are professionally mounted Disney pics all over the condo which is a very classy touch.

For example in the living room, there is a large poster over the TV which states teh making of Cinderella's castle, and a fab five poster over the couch. In the dining area, there is a gorgeous montage of 100 years of magic from various viewpoints in the park. There is also a Tink poster and two mounted Peter Pan pics near the table. In the master bedroom there is a nice Lion King print over the bed as well as a very nice monorail picture. (The monorail picture is one of my favorite. It isn't a photo but a painting) There is a another painting picture of Epcot. There is also a 101 Dalmations and some Ariel pictures in the bathroom. The queen bedroom has princessy mounted pictures. The twin bedroom has nicely mounted mickey photos.


There are a lot of pictures all over the place. I like it. It's very classy and my kids like it. (I have two middle schoolers so they didn't want the cutesy business). I have a son and a daughter and we didn't want an overtly pricessy place. Both my son and daughter are happy with it. In fact, my daughter thinks that the 3rd bedroom is almost "too princessy" for her-- she's a bit of a tomboy.

The sofa is microfibe suede in an earth tone color. My DH really likes the color and it isn't too feminine. It's a beautifully decorated place.-- it's not exactly adult oriented but not overtly kid decorated either.

The pictures are professionally mounted and match the decor of the room. It looks so much better than just posters thrown in a frame.

As for members, I didn't need to be a member. I rented directly from an owner and it's been fabulousl.

Thanks Cindy, this is a big help, sounds like it is good Disney. I liked it too because the walls are white there.

Kazzy, the Windsor Hills Club is an email club that is free to join, no obligation to buy anything, I asked them and they just want to be able to email you openings so they don't ever have an empty week, and once you sign up they send you updates from time to time about Windsor Hills, last minute openings and special price offers.

As Sympatico says, this club is run by Dave Robinson and His Wife (Peggy is her name I think). When I signed up, they sent me a coupon for a week that I could rent one of their condos for $199 for the week. They seem like good people to rent from, I have it narrowed down to them and one owner in Windsor Palms that I am also talking to. But this from Cindy is good to know. Thats great news Kazzy! I am seriously leaning toward these owners. Best prices (and nicest units) I have found at Windsor Hills now that I am in the Club.
