Today is my Friday! Yes, I know it's Thursday, but where I work your Friday is the last day of work before a day off. Between my 2 jobs, one full-time and one seasonal, I have not had a day off in 3 weeks. After today, I don't work again until January 30th!
And you will never guess where I'm going!
Israel!
Yup! Through a group called Birthright Israel, I'm doing a free 10 day trip to Israel.
Yes- free, it's considered a gift to young Jewish people in America. My sister did it 2 years ago, and this year I was able to sign up too. I'm so excited. And before anyone asks, yes, it's safe. Safety is their number one priority. We don't go into the really dangerous areas nor do we use public transportation.
If you are or know someone who is Jewish, between the age of 18 and 26, and has never been to Israel, you may want to check out birthrightisrael.com or isrealoutdoors.com which is the specific trip host I'm going with.
My trip leaves from Newark. I have a cousin who lives in NYC, so after my Israel trip, I'm going to spend a few days with her.
