Vacation as you Wish email

Did anyone sign up for this? I guess its happening Easter weekend at GCH. Would it be worth the drive just for one day to attend this?

We're signed up for Friday at 7PM and I booked the one night at nearby WM Anaheim. How strange, however, to have put this over Easter weekend?

Shoot! I'd love to attend this...I hope someone will post afterwards with photos and details and any incentives that might have been offered.

Got a second email today saying the event is now April 2-4--I hope that just means that all the spots for April 1 are taken because the only time I can go is that night (and it's my birthday AND I had already scheduled a villa for that night and the next night--but have birthday dinner plans on Friday!) I have a confirmation for April 1 . . . . .

hmmm. wonder if this was just sent to California residents? I also think it odd that they are having an event ON Easter Sunday. I'm sure there are a lot of unhappy guides (and their families!)

If anybody learns more as to what this is about, I'd love to hear. Not sure if it will be worth the 1hr drive.

I signed up. We are going Saturday at 7 PM. I am not sure why they would pick Easter weekend. I was definitely surprised by that. All times were still available when I just signed up a little while ago. I guess we will find out then what the offers are. Not that I am really in the market for points at this moment.

Just signed up for April 1st at 7 PM tonight (11 PM CA time!)
Not sure what this is about but I though it might be interesting.. Will have to see as we get closer if we will still make it but I too will need to drive one hour if there is no traffic..

Interesting--so why did the second email just have the April 2-4 dates on it? I had already signed up and had a confirmation for April 1.

I don't think WOC is ready for prime time yet--I also wonder if they are doing this in one of the ballrooms--which would be quite a ways from where WOC will be debuting. The email does say that a Grand Villa will be open all day for members to view--interesting, huh? The points for the GV are pretty high--I wonder if they are going empty quite a bit?

The only thing you'll get for certain (thanks to CA disclosure laws) is "Attendees will receive luggage tags and binoculars (retail value $8)."

Even from the reserved grand villa it would seem hard to have a viewing of World of Color for more than a handful of people. There is an observation deck on the hotel side they could do something like that from.

I was just there last week and they had WOC testing every single night and 3 out of the night were all night testing non stop. We were on the 2nd floor and could see some most of it so I suspect those who stay higher up on the floor would get a very good view.
They did have a " member meeting" while I was there but they only offered the cruise with the new wonder and the 7 night mexican Riviera. Your deposit determind the booking window you had for these cruises....
I did not bite I thought for sure they would offer the premier passes..
