VA teenager missing-Amber alert issued

Tina Smith a resident in Roanoke was found murdered in her home a couple days ago. Her daughter Brittany Smith is missing, seen with Jeff Easley her Mom's live in boyfriend. An Amber alert has also been issued in Florida as it is believed they are headed there.

Hopefully, he will let her go unharmed.

They thought he was at a gas station in FL but it turned out not to be him. I hope they find her very soon.

my DS12 knows Brittnay, he's been emotional about this since the Amber Alert was released on Monday. We live 10 minutes from the crime scene so its very hectic. So many acquisitions are being made especially after Brittney's FaceBook page was released. She was using the suspects last name! Which says that she had a relationship with the man being accused of killing her mother. FaceBook is being stubborn releasing any information to the authorities. Nancy Grace is even covering this story, its really hard on my son. Now there is camera footage of her and him at Wal-Mart on Friday buying camping equipment. Its so cold out, I just pray that girl is safe, trying really hard to not listen to the rumors.

this amber alert was issued in alabama yesterday as well. the suspect, jeffrey easley, is originally from albertville, alabama, has family in the area, and may be headed there. they're believed to be traveling in a 2005, silver Dodge Neon, 4 door sedan, with a rear spoiler and Obama sticker on the back bumper. cm, i know, it's just awful. i pray they're found soon, and the girl wasn't involved in the murder. it would be bad enough if the man killed brittany's mom (and i'm assuming he did), but if the girl was in on it...i just have no words.

She was found in San Francisco California!!!! They were in a retail store they are saying it was a Safeway grocery store and a clerk recognized him from the wanted posters. I'm so glad she's safe, can't believe they were on the other side of the country!

That was pretty darn fast too!! Who would have imagined that they would be all the way across the country. It is also being reported that the girl does in fact know that her Mom is dead.

my son is so reveled. The only time he watches the local news is to see if school is closed due to bad weather. Her mom hasn't been buried yet, her family was waiting as long as they could for Brittany's return.

glad to see she has been found safe - also Jean who is 15 with her 44 yr old uncle has been found safe. Still so many unanswered questions in both cases.

I think that they said they had a 2 or 3 day head start so to speak before the mom was found murdered.
