Sorry for asking this question again but just wanted to get some more feedback. We have selected our seats 59A, 59B, 59C on the way and 60A, 60B, 60C on the way home. Has anyone sat at these seats before? What are the good points about them? and are you sure that seat 60A goes back as much as the others (because it has no one behind)?

The seats are at the rear of the plane which means you will board first after 1st/Premium Economy and people with young children/special needs.

Downside is you will get off last :)

Some people say any turbulence is felt more at the rear, but can't really say I noticed .

We've sat at the back and front and not really noticed much difference.

Whilst not sitting in Row 60 we have sat in the row behind and from what I can remember the seat should go back OK - I dont recall noticing anything that would stop it. The advantage for 60A is that you'll not get any knees in your back.

The disadvantage of the back is being one of the last off the plane.

Being last off the plane has it's advantages, the immigration hall lines are usually shorter by the time you get off and you don't have to wait so long for your cases to come up :)

If you are renting a car, and you are one of the last to pick your car up, they may have ran out of your class of car, so you may get a free upgrade :)

Thanks for all your help. I am reassured now that we should give the back of the plane a go. Glad to hear that the immigration lines are shorter, i was worried coss i thought they would be really long by the time we got off the plane. The other thing I'm pleased about is that i have read that you get your food served first! o yes and glad that seat 60A does go back, i was dreading having to get to sleep with a seat they dont go back.

Am not sure that the previous poster is correct... depends on how quickly the immigration officers are working through people that day, how many queues they have open AND whether any flights have landed just before you (i.e. you could end up behind two jumbo jets full of people...)

Other than getting off last, the back of the plane is nice.

If you reserve your meal through the VA website you also get it served first.

only if you order a special meal or a childrens meal. - otherwide you get the meal with everyone else!

Hi,
Just remember that you are only requesting a particular seat and you may find when you check in you don't get it. I selected two seats on the VA website and printed off a confirmation. When we checked in Thursday morning the check in operator said we had been "allocated" different seats and when I gave her my confirmation she said "we don't take any notice of these, I don't know why they even have it"

Mick.
