VA seat booking/ manage my booking

I have just read on another forum that you can only now book seats/ meals 2 weeks in advance. I have been having problems doing this, may be this is why. Does anyone else know about the new seating policy on virgin flights
 
from what I can gather, if all preallocated seats have been reserved, then the seat map is no longer available for yu to look at.

Me and 3 others are flying on 29th April - we USED to be able to see the seat map and we did allocate seats. However, now we can't see the seat map & it also doesn't list our seat numbers anymore.

My friend is flying 2 days later and her seat map is still available and her pre requested seat is showing.

Hi I cant get in to manage my booling at all cant even choose meals. The person on the other forum said they phoned virgin and have been told that this will nolonger be available (we go next Xmas so our seats should just have been put on the system )
 
well I can still change me meals - but the whole seat viewing thing is not there and we go in 2 months
 

Ive just checked mine and I can still view and change my seats.
 
I can view and change my seats for our flight on the 16th Dec. I would ask VA for a locator code, go direct to VA.
 
Thanks I thought the info was may be not correct. I will call VA tomorrow unfortuneatly they have changed things and when I phoned lasr week they told me I had to now go through virgin holidays call center- I am not!!!! phoning them ever again!!!- I will retry virgin atlantic tomorrow.
 
Our Premium Economy seats are pre-booked, we have until recently always been able to view the seats. However, once the plane either becomes full or there are no more seats available in your class then you can't see the seat map anymore.
We had it confirmed our seats are still reserved, just cannot see them.

We're flying out that day too but can't access our booking, all we get is a grey screen.

DH phoned VA and booked our outward seats but even VA couldn't access our return seats ~ the girl said they are having major problems at their end too. He is going to phone again after Wednesday, it always used to be on a Wednesday that they updated their records.
 
Glad it wasn't just us having a problem.
I re-checked our Virgin Holiday booking and it looks like VS028 has changed by 5 minutes out and 15 minutes arrival :confused3

Will be on the phone tomorrow :)
 
hi virgin told me that if a flight time changes, it sometimes can result in all the prebooked seating being lost, so after booking seats you should recheck every week incase either flight time or plane type has changed.
