I'm having a bit of a brainfart and my GoogleFu is failing me so I thought I'd ask my DIS friends.

Tomorrow is seat picking time so what time can I log in to choose my seats?

Part of me thinks it's exactly in flight time, in this case 1pm but another part is thinking it might be a set time like 8am...

I thought it was the flight time so I was waiting for 6:55pm US time, 11:55pm UK. Then the day I was due to do it someone asked the same question and got 8am reply, I missed the seats I wanted but at least I did it on release day so got 3 together.
We flew home Saturday evening, they honoured our reservation but not others, heard at least 1 lady complaining plus someone else at the departure desk with an issue.

If it is 8am then that would be better for me. :)

I'm on nights tonight so by around 8 I want to be heading to bed so being up at 1pm is definitely not something I want to do.

It's 8 am our time for both legs, we called Virgin last week as on the 60th day the seats were all showing at 7.15am but we couldn't reserve them, gave them a call and they said seats become available for booking at 8am for all journeys. We just needed the return as we're on a cruise over.

8 am is when they will be available for requesting (don't forget, it is just a request). You will only be able to request for your outbound flight and then will have to wait until 60 days before the return flight in order to request seats for that.

Requests all done.

We've have never been moved as yet but then that's part of the reason we always go for the seats at the back that are just a set of 2. No real reason to move a party of 2 out of a set of seats for 2 really. :)

:thumbsup2

Almost zero chance of them moving you unless they change planes or lose data from their site, both has happened to us over the years so I keep checking every week or so.
Only time we have totally lost our request was when flying as a party of 4, never as a party of 3.

Glad to hear it's 8am for seat allocation, and its both legs? Also, where would be the best place to find the plane layout for the VS27 London (LGW) to Orlando (MCO)? We have premium seats and usually book upstairs in the "bubble", but I heard that they have moved the seats downstairs now and am not sure where we would pick.

Thanks for help in advance :)

It is 8am 60 days from your outbound and return separately.

Personally, for PE we like the rear on the downstairs cabin outbound and as far back in the PE upstairs section as possible on the return.

Yeah we also enjoy the rear seats in PE upstairs. We had a bit of luck for our return trip and managed to score Upper Class seats at a steal! Cant wait to experience that one.

yes we prefer the downstairs cabin but on both legs. I just don't like it upstairs. Forgot about the 60 day mark on the way out this time and have ended up in PE downstairs but at the front on the right hand side! hey ho...

These are exactly the seats me and DD had in May. Back row PE downstairs outbound and back row PE in the bubble inbound. We hadn't chosen the bubble seats though we were moved from the ones I had reserved. Worked out well they were better than the ones I had managed to reserve, apart from the delightful woman in front of us.

I have extra legroom seats going out and it won't let me book them, but PE coming back and I got back seats in the bubble, so I can recline without some idiot complaining, they can do it, but heaven forbid if the person in front does.

I always get one that decided to recline on me and refuses to put their seat up so I have a good knee fight with their back until they dare say anything. I understand they can do it but for 9 hrs its a joke. Especially when its a kid and they are bouncing around as well. Moan over

Do the back seats recline fully?
