Va Beach grocery stores?

We're staying in a timeshare in Va Beach and I wondered if anyone had a recommendation for a grocery store in the area. We'll have a full kitchen and plan on eating at least breakfast and lunch in the room every day.

I think we went to Big Kmart last time we were there but I wonder if there are better grocery stores available.

Farm Fresh and Harris Teeter are very good stores. There is also a Fresh Market (upscale, lots of fresh foods) at Hiltop. I'm not sure where you are staying.

We're staying on atlantic ave near 24th street. I figure we need to go inland a little to get to a real grocery store.

There is also a Trader Joes at Hilltop. I love that place!!

It is on Laskin Road. Not far from the Oceanfront.

If you take Pacific south it will become General Booth Boulevard. When I lived there (back in 2003) there were some gas stations (gas gets cheaper as you go inland from there) and some grocery stores/drugstores along there. There's some fast food there too that might be quicker/easier to get into and out of than stuff on the coast if you're looking for something quick.

In particular there was a Farm Fresh (I always seemed to notice they had the best produce of the mainstream groceries in the area) after a mile or two, on the right hand side in Strawbridge Marketplace. (After the intersection of London Bridge and General Booth.) It's a little trip inland from where you're likely to be but there's a lot of stuff there if you need to get supplies and other stuff.

(If you are taking bikes on vacation and need anything for them while you're there, there's a great bike shop close to there, a little further west down Nimmo Parkway. Fat Frogs Bike and Fitness.)

I did a search and it seems like Food Lion is the big chain down there. I also found directions for Trader Joe's and Farm Fresh. I think that's where we'll go. We're not taking bikes- just hanging out on the beach

Trying to be helpful and make sure you don't starve! If you haven't found the Super Walmart yet, there is one off of General Booth Blvd. Hope you are enjoying the area.

We're heading down on Friday morning- stopping in Delaware for the night and checking into our hotel in Va Beach Saturday afternoon. Thanks for the Super Walmart location.

food lion has a tendency to be expensive.
if you chose to use them make sure you sign up for the mvp card. its free and gets u lots of savings.
we use walmart.
