V&A's Chef's Table. How difficult is it to get a reservation?

I know there is only one seating per evening, so I'm guessing that I will need to call as soon as the reservation window opens (the 180 day clock started ticking on Saturday for our two week trip next January).

I haven't started phoning yet because I know we don't want to go until after January 15. After that, we can do any of the next 9 nights. Are any days more difficult to get than others? Given that we've no preference, should I just start phoning on the first possible date and then phone each day if I don't get lucky first time?

I would start calling as soon as your 180 day window opens. We had to try a few times before we got a free date. Good luck....we loved our experience :)

On December 10th I called asking for the May 30 to June 6 window; at that time two days in the block were available, I checked quickly with the others who would be attending and took one of the dates.

It took us a few tries, as well to get the chef's table, we started calling at 6:55am until we got through. If you do not get a ressie, do not fret. I know of a few people who were able to pick up a cancelled ressie, one person on here got his just days before his trip. so keep calling back to check on cancellations. Good luck and hope you can secure a ressie. :goodvibes
