What is so good about this place? I can't see packing anything dressy to wear this trip but for future trips wondering what the fuss is all about.

3 hour dinner/7 course meal??? :scared1: I'm thinking this is not for kids. LOL.

Some people eat to live, others live to eat.

V&A offers an 'extreme experience' for Foodies (who live to eat).

Thought of another way - dinner is theater.

Regardless of ability to pay, it is not an experience for everyone.

Dressing is part of the fun for many of us.

Def not for the kiddos. It was only recently they even started allowing kids. It use to be the truly only child free experience at WDW until enough people complained and they now allow "well behaved and properly dressed over 10 children". It is semi-formal/cocktailish attire with all men required to wear a jack and ladies a dress or pant suit. I believe even boys have to wear jackets.

It is a fine dinning experience so unless you really like that it wouldn't be worth the price. If you want just a nice dinner I would try one of the out of park signatures but V&A is above and beyond that.

I'm dying to go but have never successfully gotten a reservation.

Thank you all - I dont think this place would be for us but thank you for the reviews and links :)

Children aren't allowed.

It's totally worth it. Its a true culinary experience and one you should try to make time for if possible. Leave the kids at a kids club and make a great evening of it!

While it sounds nice, i dont think I can sit anywhere for 3 hours. LOL

Children are allowed now. 10+ as long as they follow the same dress code rules as the adults and are well behaved.

They don't allow children under, I think, 10 years old to eat there.

I thought it was kids under 12? Who knows, its not kid friendly. I would have died and gone to heaven as a child there, as my dad had to travel for work a lot when I was little, and he often took me along. I loved getting dressed up and going to adult stuff with him. Dressing up and drinking shirley temples and eating 2 or 3 shrimp cocktails for dinner was my idea of "being a grown up." Of course, he would even leave me in hotel rooms and have the concierge check on me, I just couldn't go to the pool. That was a different time though. He raised a good of bit hell when I wasn't allowed somewhere, I bet that guys just like dad made them change the rules. Not sure that's a good thing, but I certainly knew how to use all the settings at a super young age.

Right - I tried to correct myself and was still wrong, I thought it was 12ish based on the kids I've seen. But then again, I pay little attention to children if they aren't under my care.
