Has anyone ever eaten at Victoria and Albert's solo? What was that like? Would you reccomend it? I really want to try it, but don't know if I should go solo.

There is nothing wrong with going solo.

However
you are looking at a 2-1/4 to 2-1/2 hour meal by yourself. Normally when I dine alone I will always bring something to read, but at V&A (1) the lighting is fairly low, and (2) it would probably be tacky.

One thing that could be done is post to the Adult and Solo forum and you might find a person (or more than one) who would be willing to join you for a meal.

I've dined there several times. I enjoy eating by myself. I like to focus on the presentation and the different tastes. I notice more details than when I am dining with others. The staff goes out of their way to make the solo diners feel comfortable. If it is something you've always wanted to do - I say do it.

Thank you for the responses. I would love to try V&A, but like I said, am a little unsure of going solo. But, I used to be unsure of going to Disney solo in the first place, and that's now my favorite way to travel, so maybe I should just go ahead and eat there. I have until June until I even reach my 180 day mark.

I've never been, so I can't comment with a great deal of authority, but if you did decide that maybe you'd like to be with others, the chef's table looks like a fun, congenial atmosphere where you can notice details with other foodies.

But either way...I say go for it!
