I know portions are small at V and As however if you get to dessert and are still hungry do they offer you a sampler of more than 1 dessert ???:D

I haven't done the regular dining room, but at the Chef's Table we each received a double entree and then they brought 3 desserts to share. We were so incredibly stuffed. You could also fill up on the wonderful rolls if you were worried about hunger. We only ate one each because we knew so much food was coming and we were still overstuffed.

I kind of doubt you can just say, "Hey, I'm still hungry. Could I have another dessert." But, then again, you never know.

V&As is a very hard place to leave hungry from. They are small portions, but not that small, and there are 6-7 of them. the portions are just not one heaping plate of food, they break it down into smaller portions. You get the cold appitizer, and a soup and a warm appitizer, and an entree, a palet clenser, and then dessert, and sometimes chocolates after dessert. Not to mention the amazing bread they have. DH used lots of bread to mop up his plates the sauces were so good. I would think it would be very hard for anyone to leave hungry, ok maybe a very large football player that eats a 50 oz steak in one seating might be an exception, but we always leave very full, and normally come very hungry since we prefer the later seating. I am sure you will have a great time since this is my favorite resturant in the world.

I agree that it would a feat to leave the restaurant hungry. My fiance and I eat at V&As every year and pace ourselves so that will have room for dessert. The courses, while very managable, offer enough to fill up almost anyone, IMO, except possibly that football player...

I can't imagine the alternate universe I would have been sucked into where I could leave V&A hungry.

I have eaten there 5 times and have learned that I actually need to leave a few bites uneaten so that I'll have room for their unbelievable chocolate souffle.

I've even been tacky enough to ask them package up my leftovers to take back to the room. Not a problem. "Albert" even reminded me to put them in the frig since "Mickey wouldn't want me to get sick from his food."

Go! Enjoy! Leave room for dessert!

To answer the question directly-no, there is no sampler, and you get a choice of one dessert from the menu.
And I'll just echo what's already been said. There are a # of courses, such that at the end of the meal, you are quite full. And if you add some drinks, perhaps the wine pairings--well, it actually is a lot of food.
I recall a previous post where someone said that they left V&A still hungry--but that is an rare exception.

I don't think you have to worry about being hungry at V&A's...wow...where did you get that idea.

With all the courses..you will be stuffed!

I always start a meal at V&A's thinking that it is not that much food. But I usually eat all of my first courses, and never have room when my main course actually comes. This October, I will really try to pace myself.

Good luck, I hope that you are stuffed as well after your meal! :)
