I am a new member with recently purchasing 160 points at SSR. We already quickly realize that our vacation wants are going to far outlive are point bank.

My question is about use year. I understand about the 11 month window with seperate resorts. We are looking at purchase on resale for BWV or VWL around 100 points. I have hear about combining the master contracts as one. How does this work. Do I need to do something special to make sure it is done?

If the contracts are combined then will I be able to have all of my points at the 7 month window in June for my use year at any resort

If you have more than one home resort, all vacation points being used to make a reservation during the Home Resort Priority Period must be associated with that home resort. That is, you cannot combine points from multiple resorts to book one resort during the Home Resort Priority Period, even if they are the same Use Year or same member number.

If you purchase the same UY then BWV or VWL can be added as a add on to the master contract number that you now have. You need to tell your broker and escrow agent that you want to add on to your existing. Making the change after you close may not be possible.

Yes you can use all of your combined points for a single reservation at 7 months.

I just wanted to know if you've done this yourself successfully - adding on through resale and getting broker/escrow to alter the resale contract number to go under your Master contract. I didn't think this was possible, but maybe it is.

I did resale initially, then added on direct through DVC twice. The next round might be resale.

Disney is who has to do it, but the broker and escrow are who tells them to do it.

We have done this about 6 times.

Not that I couldn't live with 2 master contracts, but having all under one master would be a lot easier to manage.
