UT Purchase and Upgrading to Hopper

With the increase coming, I feel the "pressure" to purchase my 5 day tickets now through UT. We are not totally sure on if we need the hoppers or not. What is the estimated savings if I purchase 5 day base tickets now through UT and then want to upgrade to the hoppers once there. 2 adults and 2 kids.

Or, can you upgrade at any point before you head out for the trip?
