UT annual price increase?

I have gotten at least one email from UT in the last month reminding me of the "Undercover Tourist annual price increase" coming soon, plus the banner on their website says something about it.

Is this their pricing (mark-up) or WDW pricing? I wasn't aware that Disney had announced a price increase yet, though I know it's been in Feb the last few years.

I'm planning to buy our tickets in the next week or so, and trying to puzzle out the best timing.

The major planning websites are predicting an increase on Disney's official prices very soon. I don't know where they get their info but they've been correct for as long as I've been paying attention.

UT typically has "old" price inventory for a few days/weeks after Disney officially raises their prices so you are not out of luck if you don't buy before the increase date. I did this last year, I bought 2016 priced tickets in Feb 2017 after the increase had gone into effect on the Disney website. The only issue that I ran into was that I bought 5 day tickets thinking we were going to do a MVMCP on our 6th day. For a variety of reasons we decided against doing the party and I was not able to add the extra day over the phone, it had to be done by Guest Relations meaning I could only make 60 day FP+ for 5 days instead of 6. I tried to upgrade at the Yacht Club but because they were discounted tickets it would have cost me $50 per ticket. The awesome CM told me I would get a much better deal going to Guest Relations at the park so I walked over to the Epcot IC and she was able to do it for ~$20 per person. I did need everyone's magic bands though. It ended up not being a big deal because I made FP+ for our first 5 days and our last day was MK and there were decent options to be had 6 days out and I was able to adjust the day of. Leading up to the trip I was worried about it but at the end of the day I was glad I saved the money and it wasn't that much of hassle to upgrade after the fact.

You all have convinced me; I'll just order them today. Dh is leaving for an overseas trip tomorrow, and I had wanted to reserved charging space on the credit card just in case. But I can buy them now and just pay them off right away instead of waiting for the income tax refund.

If I were in your situation I would wait. Having some extra money available if needed while traveling is a good idea.

They're not going to raise prices without a couple of days warning.
