USrentacar sale on Budget this weekend

Just going to book for our 9 night trip this May as they were the cheapest. Now even cheaper as they have a Budget sale on this weekend ontop of the £5 discount code.
We are doing 9 nights, 2 dr, Full size, Gold cover last week was £221 less £5 code. Now £214 less £5 code.
Only a £7 saving for me but longer rentals or other catagories could be a bigger saving.

We booked a few months ago when you gave us the heads up that prices were going up , so it looks like it'd actually cost us £20 more even using the £5 voucher.
That's priced up on a full size 4 dr (with free upgrade to premium) by the way.

For our August trip we have 2 cars booked(before and after cruise) booked them last Oct before last 2 increases. Total paid £366 Now after discounts would cost £484. Glad I booked them last year.

Where is Budget? Is it on-airport or do you have to take one of those annoying buses? Do they have an express service like Dollar? Do you get to pick your own car? THANKS!

Budget desks are next to Dollar, car collection is in the garage up the escalator above Dollars lot.
They do a service called FastBreak which you can register for on their website, you are supposed to do at least 3 rentals to be accepted but people register on their 1st rental, not heard anyone being refused.
Alternatively use this link to Pre-register your Usrentacar reservation. This is the way I did it last August, takes 2 mins to fill in then the car keys were waiting in the Kiosk out in the garage, totally bypassed the desks.

No its like Dollar you are allocated a car, I think only Alamo allow you to pick but I had bad rental with them 8 years ago, not used them since.

I've just done the pre-reg for our trip in 2 weeks - it's extremely easy. One thing is, you've got to do it at least 10 days before your due to pick the car up.

As Catherine says its really easy. Although I prefer Dollar(since getting Express had some great free upgrades) Budget was very good last August with bypassing the desk, I have had problems at Dollar with Express with the regular line shouting across beacuse we cut line, one lady was horrible, the Dollar agent just shouted back Express was free for anyone to join online.

I wonder if the problem is your dates, I know they don't give free upgrades for them dates, I guess they have removed them until the sale is over. They just don't need to discount cars over Xmas~New Year.

OMG we had that EXACT same issue on our last trip -- a man in the "regular" line SHOUTED at my family and another family for "skipping the line" and told us to get to the back. It was soooo embarrassing.

Have you used car hire florida before? Are they safe? I feel happier with US because we've used them before.

21st-30th, wasn't supposed to be going until August but AA had a sale on a couple of weeks ago, £322pp could not resist.

We booked our car with usrentacar (Alamo) a while back. The same now is £98 more.

If we booked with Budget now it would be nearly £50 more.

Just had a quote from usrentacar for 25 nights in august and Budget was the dearest of the three companies offering the vehicle we want - so looks like its going to be Dollar we book with.

I checked for you last night, was going to PM you if I saw it was cheap. Looks like they are very competative on medium size cars with free upgrades but SUV's and larger cars not so good.
