I just bring my router from home, connect it, and it works.
You mean, maybe Computer-challenged me could do it? I've always liked the idea of using wireless at the resort (since I have a router for my laptop at home) but thought "I'd never figure it out." Could I just bring my router from home?
That's what I do. I have Road Runner cable internet through Time-Warner, and the same wireless route works fine at Disney.

Also, change the default passwords or someone will be reconfiguring your router to suit their needs.
I had not thought about this. But I am just spiteful enough to say the heck with it and both of us could do without internet for the week
As for the difficulty question if you have a wireless router setup at home just mirror your settings on your travel router. It is then just basically plug and play.
You may not want to mirror your home settings because there could actually be cases where it would keep it from working. However, just about any cheap router will work right out of the box.
That's why I bought an inexpensive one just to use for DVC stays. It's the least expensive Netgear available and the salesman suggested I didn't get a more powerful one - said it would be fine if we were staying in one/two bedroom condos.
I've never needed to connect the cable to my laptop to log in first.
