Using WDW tix at DL--Just want to confirm

I just want to confirm that DL will still allow you to take a day off your WDW non-expiring park hopper in exchange for a DL 1 day hopper. We're going next week and this is our plan since we are only going into the park for one day. Has anyone done this recently? My brother did this but it has been a few years. We just take our WDW tix to the turnstyle right?
