I read that we can use unused days on a WDW pass at Disneyland.

Question... is this a smart thing to do? You can't use DL passes at WDW, but you can use WDW passes at DL. My gut tells me I SHOULD NOT use my WDW passes.....

Thoughts...

It all depends.
If you don't have enough stray days left to cover your average WDW trip it may make sense to use them.

Example. You have 4 days left on a ticket. You plan to be in DLR 4 days. Your average WDW trip is 8 days. Well as you know, the price of an 8 day ticket at WDW isn't all that much more than a 4. So using your 4 days left and purchasing 4 days at WDW on your next trip saves you about $10 over just purchasing an 8 day ticket. But, using that 4 days at DLR on the other hand, just saved you $179 (advanced purchase online price.)

Interesting, unpublished fact: you can use any unexpired, leftover days on a Walt Disney World ticket at Disneyland or DCA! Present the Disney World ticket at the gate on arrival -- they will take it somewhere, deduct a day from it, and give you a one-day Disneyland and/or DCA ticket. You can repeat this day by day until the Disney World ticket is used up. They will not give you a multi-day ticket all at once, even if you have multiple days left on your Disney World ticket.

The type of Disneyland ticket you will receive is based on the Walt Disney World ticket you present: if you have a Disney World ticket with the Hopper option, you will get a Disneyland Hopper that allows you to visit both parks in the same day; on the other hand, if the Disney World ticket had no Hopper option, you will get a one-day/one-park ticket and will have to pick which park to enter that day. This has been going on for at least 5 years that I know of, and the information was last reconfirmed by a MouseSavers.com reader as of January 2007.

I got the pricing info for my example from mousesavers also.

Just got back from DL.

You simply walk up to the gate and tell the person there you want to use these tickets - WDW

He calls the lead on a button he has at gate.

She comes takes you tickets and comes back in about 5-10 minutes

I thought this was pretty cool

And if you have park hopper sthey give you park hoppers!
