Using visa debit.

We don't have a credit card only our visa debit. Has anyone used them at gas stations on the drive down to Florida or booking a hotel. I know we can use at universal and I am assuming all around Orlando just wasn't sure about the gas stations. We are taking mostly cash but in case we need to use the debit don't want to get stuck with no money

We use our US Visa Debit without issue virtually everywhere. Only time had issue was using for rental (as the card on file) so had to use another card at the desk and just used to pay for the rental after without issue. Remember if using at the pump for prepay of gas (the norm in the US) you'll need to enter your US zip code for verification virtually everywhere (or the spoofed Canadian one - the three digits in order from your postal code followed by 00, so if your postal was M9A1A1, use 91100).

We had trouble with ours at walnart and target. If it goes through as credit your ok if it goes tgrough as debit itsca problem. That was in dec and march.

Is that because of the weird Chip and Sign thing they do in the US?
