Hi! So I have a touringplans membership, and have been playing with it for awhile. We are offsite, so this was the week I have been making our fastpasses (30 days out) and really manipulating the plans into what FP+ we actually got and all that. I tried to add in some 15 minute breaks throughout my plans, for snacks & restrooms, or whatever else, to try to make it a bit more flexible. My kids are 10,6, and my youngest turns 4 just a couple days after we get back home from our trip. I guess my question is, how well has it worked out with your family with children? I want to make sure my little ones get to do things they didn't do last year, but also that me & my husband, and 10 yr old get to do big headliners, and everyone be happy.
fastpasses I have so far are:
MK day 1- Pooh, Peter Pan, Splash (rider switch) and Space (rider switch)
Ep- Spaceship Earth, Turtle Talk, TestTrack (rider switch)- could add another rider switch here- sum of all thrills maybe?? soarin will still be closed unfortunately.
AK- safari, lion king, kali (rider switch), everest (rider swtch)
HS- Star Tours (rider switch), ToT (rider switch), toy story mania, disney junior live
MK- day 2 **CAN MAKE TOMORROW** nothing yet.
We also will be doing the DVC tour the day after AK, and the day before HS, so we should get 3 additional fastpasses to use, 1 I will use for rockin roller coaster and the other 2 I will most likely save for MK.
I have no problem throwing the whole plan out the window if my family can't keep up or just flat out decide they don't want to do what's next & stray from the plan. That's fine. But I think it would be fun to try, and I'm hoping we can stick to it to get everything done that everyone wants to get done. We didn't have a strict plan last year, I mostly just used the app to check wait times and we went to whatever was closest by with the shortest wait, which worked out well, we got a lot done, but there was a lot we didn't do either, that I want to get in this time. I know we can't do it ALL. We DO like to stay busy- even my kids. They like to be constantly engaged, doing something. When we are using the rider switch, my plan is to take my littles on nearby "little kid" attractions when possible.
