I was just wondering if anyone has used MS to book a vacation in the World passport collection and about many points do you use per night on average. My Dh and I were thinking on going to Hawaii.

A few years ago, we got a spring break match for the Kona Coast II on the Big Island of Hawaii. A week in a 1-bedroom cost 144 points. (World Passport reservations are only available for full weeks.) This resort is relatively easy to match. The accomodations and activities are good, although you have to walk across a golf course to get to the beach. We're not "beachy" people anyway, preferring to drive out and explore volcanoes, ranches, coffee plantations etc.

Most 1 BR units will be 160 points and 2 BR (if available) will be 270 points generally. 144 & 252 are possible but I'd count on the higher numbers because you won't really know for sure how many points until you actually match.

World passport Collection is an Interval International exchange, so it is for full weeks only. Hawaii is considered high season year round, and as such will be 160 points for a week in a 1 bedroom. We also took this deal at Kona Coast II resort, and the 1 bedroom unit was plenty big enough and had two bathrooms (kind of like the new AKV 1 bedrooms in Kidani). They had a HUGE balcony, and it was nice getting the evening breezes off the ocean. Kona Coast resort seems to be an easy one to get when you request Hawaii exchanges. I'd request what you want as early as possible (up to 2 years ahead), and don't be surprised if it takes most of that time to get specifically what you want. If you are limited by specific time frames, I would book some other way.

Can you do longer than one week or do the reservations have to be booked seperately

BVTC stays must be other than a week but the usual trades though II must be a full week, no more and no less. You can get a trade for 7 days and only stay 5 if you want, I've done that a number of times. For 2 weeks or more, that would be separate exchanges. While it's possible to link to get two or none, the chances of getting anything high demand that way are almost nil and I wouldn't recommend that approach.
