Using the VRBO calendars

VRBO has so many great choices for rentals. Is there any significance to a location that states a calendar hasn't been updated in 6 months. Just wondering why owners would not show their availability.

I don't think that makes any difference. I've rented from owners that did and owners that did not have calendars on their listing page. If they have it and the dates you want are booked, that's useful info. Otherwise, I don't think it matters. Just send an email inquiry and ask. I wouldn't make the presence of a calendar a deciding factor in a rental decision.

Some owners don't want people to know when their home is empty. Easier target for burglary.
