Using the DDP question

I remember one time I was at WDW, I was standing in line at Cosmic Rays behind a woman on the DDP. She was buying meals for all her family and had to order everything seperately and use different cards for each meal. Do you still have to do this or is it all on one card now? That would be a HUGE PITA if I have to do that.

We were on the dining plan in 06 and 07. We were able to use one card for the whole family. If my husband wanted to go to a different bay at Cosmic Rays he just took his card and ordered and I used one card for the 6 of us. So....you should be OK using one card for your family.

I was there in Dec with a party of 4 adults, we could all use 1 card and did in most cases While we were there.

I don't know what the woman was doing, but you have never had to use a separate card for each person that I am aware of.

All the cards in the group are linked togeather and have access to all the meals and snacks. You can use any of them.

ok great! whew. I just remember I was behind her forever! I know that she was paying seperately for everything so I don't know what she was doing. She had a million questions about the plan and was really confused. It took forever to get to be my turn so I was afraid maybe that is how the DDP worked, that it was complicated and everything was seperated. Thanks for the reassurances!

If she was with a large group and had multiple rooms then she would have to give different cards. We have 4 kids so we always have two room, so when we pay for a meal we do have to use two separate cards because we are split between the two rooms.
