Using the child CS credits

I'm planning our trip for this upcoming January and we'll have the QSDP. My family consists of me, DH, DD4 and DD10months (who obviously has no bearing in this question!).

The way I'm thinking of splitting up the credits is to use 2 child CS credits every morning for DD and I to have breakfast (DH doesn't eat breakfast) and then we will get 2 adult CS for lunch and 2 adult CS for dinner and share those between the 3 of us.

My question is am I allowed to do this? If the CM sees that it's me and DD, will I be able to get 2 children's meals, or will they only allow me to get one?

Thanks for your help!

From reports here, you probably will not be able to do that - at least not in one trip to the register. Your room key will say 1 C on it and they should only allow you to purchase 1 C meal at a time. YMMV.

The way it should work is that if you have 2 adults 1 child on your key card, you can buy 2 adult and 1 child meals per transaction, no more. You may have to do an explanation if you plan to make purchases in a way not reflected by your KTTW card.

Just have your DH get in line and purchase one of the child's breakfasts while you get the other one.

As long as you are using the right number of credits for the day I don't see why it would be a problem.

There is no right # for the day - despite the limitations described above, there actually is no limitation on how many credits (of any kind) you can use in a day.

Thank you for the responses. I guess I'll just ask the CM and see what they say, but I'll just use one of our snacks for my breakfast if it doesn't work out, no biggie.

True! A couple of years ago I used a CS credit at the Mexican restaraunt in Epcot. Did not like the meal at all, so immediately threw it away, and went to China and ordered another meal. I was solo that trip so should have only been able to order one adult meal per transaction. The time frame between ordering the two meals might have been 10-12 minutes. I was at WDW last week (Sept 10th-18th) with some fellow DISers. Due to a trip over to Universal one day and paying OOP for one meal, my friend had three extra CS credits left at the end of the week. She used them her last day for breakfast and to take a couple of meals to the airport. She had no problem using three CS credits that last day.

Unless there's been a change that I haven't read about the CD credits are all pooled together. There is no difference between Child and Adult CS credits. This is different from the TS which are separated. With 2A and 1K on your KTTW card you should have no problem buying 2 meals at the same time, no matter what type they are.
