Using SSR facilities when not staying there?

Hello. I'll be at a business conference and will be staying at a hotel across the I-4 from WDW. Same hotel as where the conference is being held. I plan to "sneak" away for a bit to visit the parks. Was also planning to use the fitness center and spa at SSR. I believe as a DVC member, I can still use the spa and fitness center even though I am NOT staying at a DVC resort. Does anyone know if this is also true for the SSR pool? As a DVC member, am I allowed to use the SSR facilities (pool, fitness center, and spa) though I'm not staying at a DVC resort?

I thought those amenities (fitness center, pool) were for on-site DVC guests staying on points only.

I seem to recall it posted on these boards that Orlando DVC owners are not allowed to use the DVC resort facilities whenever they want...they have to be staying at a villa.

no you can't use the pool or exercise.

you can use the spa - because you would be paying for it. (there are cheaper spa offsite)
