using saddle bags with strollers

Have any of you used saddle bags with your strollers? I'm thinking about getting a SkipHop saddle bag to use if I take my Maclaren.

Do they help keep the stroller from tipping? Do you leave them on the stroller when you go to an attraction?

I don't have them but heard that you can get weights to put on the front wheels of you stroller so it doesn't tip.

I just got 1lb wrist wts and put one over each front wheel. It seems a lot less tippy--based on just hanging some heavish bags from the handles, but i haven't tried them out "in the field".
As for saddle bags--please let us know how they do. I have saddle bags on my P&T'sE3 but honestly, I don't use them that much. At Disney though, they may work out great as you can put things in there you don't need access to very often--changes of clothes and the like. It will probably be more awkward to fold--you may have to just take them off and carry them--but that's only a couple times a day. The P&T saddle bags are too big for my Inglesina Swift and I just don't want to drop $60 on a pr of Carry You's right now.

I have 2 Skip Hop saddle bags and I attach them further down the side of the stroller and it doesn't seem to have any effect. I Also have a Skip Hop Dash diaper bag which I hang off the back-- down lower (closer to the seat) and it doesn't seem to tip. I use a Baby Jogger city version.
We've never used them at Disney but did use all three for a day at Six Flags Great Adventure to see the new Wiggles Park. Because of my DD3 food allergies, we have to carry all food and drink and we had no problem fitting her stuff in as well as a few things for DD7--now 8.

I love the Carry You Pescara panniers (saddlebags) (www.carryyou.com) on my Mac Techno (I have 2, one for each side), and just added the Demi Milan (which I wouldn't put a hot drink in, but it did fine with cups with lids) as well. We went to a local amusement park a couple of weeks ago, and I was able to totally skip the backpack. I was able to carry: diapers, wipes, and changing pad, complete change of clothes for 2 kids, beach towel, DSLR camera with extra lens in camera bag, small cooler for babyfood, 2 water bottles, 2 bottles of soda, big bottle of sunscreen, 3 hats, cell phone/wallet (in a Bagallini), a solarveil mei tei for when dd was tired of the stroller, and the rain cover, and still had room for souvenirs and room to recline, without toppling the stroller when we took dd out. I'll still have room to add the ponchos when we're at WDW next month. I took the camera bag and cell phone/wallet bag to go on rides, and I only had to take the camera bag and cooler out to fold up the stroller. Well worth the cost!!!

I've used a Skip Hop Saddle bag on the back of my Maclaren Ryder and it works great. I don't think it makes the tipping worse because it's a small bag so not very heavy. I like having it on the back because it is a nice place for me to put a sippy or water bottle plus things like maps, sunscreen - things I want to be able to just grab.
