I am sure these questions have already been asked, so I apologize ahead of time.

1. If we purchase resale at Beach Club (for example), we can still use those points to go to other WdW DVC resorts, right? Is that true for all resale points?

2. If we purchase more than one contract, do they all go under the same member number? Can we use them together on one booking?

1. You can book at BCV 11 months out or less. You can use at other resorts but must wait until 7 months out. At 7 months out all points are the same.

2. They only go under the same contract if UY (Month) is the same and the names on the contract are the same. 11 months out you can only use them together if they are same resort and same UY contract. If they are same UY but different resorts you must wait until 7 months to use them together.

Thank you, so now I see why everyone mentions UY. Basically you want all contracts to be same UY so that you can use them on one booking.

Correct - I think it only matters if you have make really big trips. In my opinion you can always borrow the odd number of points and bank the second contract. But to each their own!

Exactly. Especially if you bought small to start and are adding on later to supplement your original purchase.

For some folks the 7 month mark doesn’t mean much because of their booking style or their typical travel months being opposite of peak DVC booking, so they will buy lots of smaller contracts over time. Often this will be at a ton of random resorts.

My home resort is Aulani in Hawaii by choice, and because my wife and I work in the medical field we can take long periods of time off each month, so there is never an issue for us booking at the 7 month window. We added on at Aulani resale (first contract was direct), but will probably buy another contract resale in a smaller volume 50-100 points at one of the resorts with cheaper annual costs like SSR.

Sort of. As the pp mentioned if you have 100 pts at BWV and 100 pts at Beachclub each with a UY of January.
at 11 months you could reserve rooms worth up to 100pts at either BWV or Beachclub or 100 pts worth of rooms at each. Even with the same UY, you cannot combine points from different resorts at 11 months.
at 7 months you can use 200 pts to book at any DVC resort.

If you have multiple contracts for the same resort and they all have the same UY, then yes they can be used for one booking at 11 months for that resort.

So also, it sounds like if they are same UY and resort they have the same member number, but otherwise no, is that right?

One other question, do resale contracts have the free parking (now that they charge resort guests)?

UY month can also be an issue if you need to cancel a stay. Booking a stay that falls in the early part of your UY can provide additional options if you need to cancel and reduce the risk of losing pts for zero value.

If you book a stay that falls in the last 3 months or so of your UY and eventually have to cancel that stay, you may have to scramble to avoid having the points disappear into the void at the end of that UY...

(But remember that UY has nothing at all to do with when you can call to book your stay.)

Some guides attempt to claim that resale will be restricted and not be allowed to book 11 months out at home, or ever change from their home resort at 7 months. Both claims are trash. The legal barriers to such a change are immense.

Owners don't pay for parking for stays booked with points, because a quote of the maintenance fees paid every year by owners already include upkeep for the parking lots. Disney cannot differenciate between resale and direct because this is not a perk (it would be illegal to ask members to pay for parking). It would be like asking resale members to pay to use the pool.
For stays booked with cash, members of any kind still pay as everyone else.
