Using priority modes

I shoot mostly in P with changes in exposure compensation, metering mode, and focus mode based on the situation. I switch to A or S for situations where I want control of DOF or shutter speed.

I would say that about 80-90 percent of the time I am in Aperture Priority. I like being able to just choose the aperture to get the correct depth of field the shot calls for...and let the camera handle the rest.

Also occasionally when the light is constantly changing, I will put iso on auto mode, this way all I have to worry about is the aperture.
I use all 4 modes but mostly Aperture mode.

I use aperture priority 90-95% of the time. I use manual the other 5-10% of the time. I rarely, if ever, use shutter priority.

When using flash I have my camera in Manual mode almost 100% of the time.

When I know I'll be taking a lot of pictures and I must have consistancy in exposure (to reduce post-processing time), I shoot in Manual mode.

For the times I'm not in Manual, 75% of the time I'm in Aperture Priority, and the other 25% of the time I'm in Shutter Priority. Which of those two modes I use depends on the shot and what's more important, controlling depth-of-field or controlling the amount of blur.

This is a great thread -- i got a lot of great tips!
Thanks so much!!!
Shannon:)
