I am considering staying a night or 2 at one of the hotels in Hong Kong Disneyland. On the DVC website it does not include HK on the email request form. I assume then that I have to call in my request. will I need to have a first and second choice for my dates and resort, there are only 2 resorts but I am open to staying at either one. Will I know right away or do they email a response?

They take the request and if it matches they automatically book for you. But you will not know right away- at least I didn't. On short notice, I got my sister a night at their Disneyland hotel (like the grand floridian). They only had the higher point balcony room. She loved it and loved the park.

Thank you for your quick response. I have enough points set aside, so if I have to book the higher category I'll be okay. I am excited to see the park there, my daughter is in Beijing and I am visiting her in May, she wants to go with me to Disney, which surprised me because she is not a fan. I will have to get my act together and get my final plans made.

There are specific rules on booking it too so be careful. I can't be booked within the last 3 months of your use year or for the dates in the last three months of your use year. It can also only be booked so many weeks out. All of the info is on the website with the points chart. I am hoping to be going this year also.

I hope you know Beijing and Hong Kong is far apart. It is like from Disneyland to DisneyWorld kind of distant.

I did this when I did the ABD trip to china. I had to call to book and did 3 nights for $95 and at that time park tickets were included. It was a short trip to airport and I took taxi. They have subway line all their own the connects to the main line and went in Hong Kong to sight see and eat. The park is very different but nice. It has expanded since I was there. Hong Kong is 3 1/2 hour flight from Beijing.

Flights from Beijing to Hong Kong are about 3 and 1/2 hours. For me its like flying from Pennsylvania where I live to Orlando. The flight to Beijing from California, where I will be leaving from after visiting Disneyland will be 17 hours maybe a bit less, so 3 and 1/2 hours won't be too bad.
I figure I may never get to Asia again, unless my daughter opts to stay longer than her year contract. I want to be able to see one of the Disney parks. I'd love to go to Tokyo but it is too costly.
