I'm looking for information on using points for things like a week in Colorado or some such thing. Those of you that have done this ...how many points did you need for a 5 night or longer stay? Was it worth it? Would it have made more sense to rent your points and use the cash for the Colorado (or other destination) stay? Trying to use my 150points strategically...Thanks for the help.

I think, repeat I THINK, you can do a 7-night stay in Colorado for about 160-170 points in a one bedroom. For the exact number of points for an International Interval exchange go to:

www.disneyvacationclub.com

For a week's stay through II the points necessary would be as follows for a one bedroom:

Low season: 124
Mid Season: 144
High Season: 160

You also could stay at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs on a nightly basis for anywhere from 28 points per night up to 57 points per night.

I have never stayed there but have used points at the Sagamore. It was outstanding and well worth the points I used. I looked at renting out my points and paying cash but it actually worked out better to use points in my case.

Are you referring to a weekly exchange through Interval? I know the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs and Keystone Resort in Keystone are available on a nightly basis. We go to the Broadmoor every summer. It's a business trip for my husband, so the company pays for it. I highly recommend it. The air is so clean and refreshing. I feel so rejuvenated when I'm there. They have a wonderful spa also. Lots to do in the area.
