Hi All

I think I finally understand how DVC would be a good deal finacially but I haven't seen any posts about using them for other places, specifically DisneyLand CA and Paris. Has anyone ever done this, is it difficult to get rooms? I do realize that it would not be the best use of points but we have been to WDW 4 times in the last 2 years and would really like to check out the other Disney parks.

Thanks
Angela

We used points to stay at Disneyland. Had no problem getting a room with points. Just be sure to bring your confirmation letter from Member Services.

Thanks

Would you mind telling me how many points you used and for how many nights you stayed?

This past July we used DVC points and stayed at the Disneyland Hotel at DLP. It was fantastic!!! Its design is very simular to the GF. The Metro station was right next door and we made several trips into Paris and back. We had a great time, and I would love to do it all over again!

One of the reasons we bought into DVC was not just for staying at WDW, but it offered many places in the U.S. and world to stay at. DVC allows us to travel, and stay in very nice accommodations. Over the next five years we are making plans to stay at the Dorchester in London, the Jefferson in D.C., and to go back and do some island hopping in Hawaii. Now many people will say that you could find better deals for rooms other than using DVC points, and their probably right, but using them soley at WDW is not using DVC and its many opions to their fullest either.

We stayed at the Grand Californian last year during spring break for 4 nights. I think it took about 124 points (+/- a few). It was great. We are hoping to do it again in 2003.

Hi, we stayed for 2 nights at Seqoia Lodge in Disneyland Paris. I think it was about 60 points for 2 nights. It was a great deal as park passes were included and we would definitely do it again.

It was easy to reserve, 2 weeks ahead. But, we have found interval international stays more difficult to reserve, particularly July and August and u may want to plan further ahead with these.
