Looking for some more help regarding the disney cruise line. I'm looking to book a 3 day cruise for Jan. 17 so I called today for some # from the cruise line and from MS and needless to say it's starting to get a little confusing! Here's the info I have gotten so far so maybe someone could point me down the right path. Okay there is my wife and I and our two children, at MS it would be 68pts for each of us and 35 pts for each child for a total of 206 pts! Or I can use 68 pts and pay $599 for my wife and $259 for each child which would add up to $1323 and 68pts!everyone still with me? Now I called the cruise line direct and the same cabin for my whole family is $1455, maybe I'm a little more confused than I should be so maybe someone could make some sense of it for me. what is the best way to go? should I use points for my wife and i and pay cash for the kids? Use all points? Pay all cash? HELP!HELP!HELP! THANKS!
P.S Or my wife even suggested getting 2 cabins 1 for the kids and 1 for us for the sum of $1774! OR 136 pts through MS for us and a cabin for the kids through DCL for $887! this is really getting CRAZY!

Hi Tomp! Let me try to help. If you have plenty of points, and no plans to make use of them during the year, then I might advise cruising totally on points. If you would like to conserve as many points as possible for another trip, then perhaps use points for the two adults and pay cash for the kids. I actually cruised in November on the 7 day and paid points for two adults and cash for one child. It just worked out best for me that way since I had run out of points. As far as two staterooms, you need to be aware that whether you book with points or cash, you will pay four adult fares to do that. They will book one adult and one child in each room, however, the first two passengers in any room are automatically considered adults on the cruise. Of course, your last option would be to cruise totally on cash and use your points for a WDW stay before or after the cruise. That may be a very cost effective option to go with! When you are ready, come visit on our Cruise Board where you will find lots of information on the room categories and the cruise itself! Hope this helps! :)
